Delicious and Nutritious Bridal Shower Recipes
Of course you can’t forget to have some cake at a bridal shower, but women these days are very concerned with their appearance and so it is wise to have some delicious and nutritious bridal shower recipes ready to go and to serve at the party. You do not need to have lima beans and carrots to have healthy bridal shower recipes, and those discussed here are proof of this.
Cucumber and Herb Dip
This is one of the many bridal shower recipes that prove you can have health and taste all in one dish. No party is complete without dip, and this is one dip that you are definitely going to want to make again.
For it you will need 1 package of cream cheese softened, 1 cup finely shredded cucumber, ½ cup shredded Swiss cheese, ½ teaspoon dill weed, ½ teaspoon lemon juice, ¼ teaspoon minced fresh garlic, and ¼ teaspoon salt. To prepare you simply mix all of the ingredients and then stir until well blended.
Shrimp Canapes
This is another of the favorite bridal shower recipes, one that is both nutritious and delicious. To prepare you will need the following ingredients: 10 slices white bread, 2 tablespoons melted butter, ½ teaspoon dried thyme leaves, 1 package frozen cooked shrimp thawed and cooked, ½ cup shredded Colby cheese, 1/3 cup mayonnaise, and ¼ teaspoon salt.
You want to start by preheating the broiler, and then trim all of the crusts from the bread slices. You then want to cut this into 20 assorted shapes using a cookie cutter. Tear off enough of the bread trimmings into fine crumbs in order to measure ½ cup of crumbs and then set this aside.
Now you mix the butter and thyme, and brush this mixture evenly onto the bread cutouts that you have just created. Place this on a single layer in a baking sheet, and broil for a couple of minutes or until the bread pieces are lightly browned. Meanwhile you want to take the bread crumbs that you had set aside and add to this the shrimp, cheese, mayo and salt. Once you have this combined you want to spread it evenly onto the bread cutouts and broil these for an additional ten minutes.
There are literally thousands of other bridal shower recipes that you can prepare as well, and of course the most important thing is that the bride to be is going to enjoy them.
